19 Cougs Enter the Transfer Portal: Full Breakdown

With the spring transfer portal opening two days ago on April 16th the Cougs have already had 19 players enter the transfer portal. This list should be current up to April 18th at around 4pm.

Djouvensky Schlenbaker

Was a highly touted high school recruit. Appeared in 11 games last season and had 149 yards and three touchdowns. Acted as a great lead blocker for John Mateer. Found himself in a very crowded backfield this spring and probably was not going to see the field a ton this season.

Warren Smith

Appeared in 9 games last season as a backup. Came to Pullman as a highly touted cornerback with offers from 6 Pac12 schools. Another case of being in a very talented potion group and it was likely he wouldn't see the field a ton next season.

Hunter Najam

Redshirted at WSU last season as a preferred walk-on. Found himself battling for reps at the QB position. Was likely to be at least a third or fourth string QB this season.

Carson Osmus

He was a three star OT out of Camas, WA who redshirted last season and never saw the field. Was buried on the OL depth chart this spring.

Josh Joyner

High level running back recruit, found himself in a very deep RB room this spring. The previous coaching staff was very high on him and he looked very good in the spring game on the limited reps he saw.

Jackson Cowgill

The Cougs beat out K State, Michigan State and Colorado last year for the three star defensive lineman. Redshirted last season and did not appear in a game.

Dylan Mauro

Transferred in January from Southwestern Oklahoma State. Very likely he simply got beat out for the starting punting job this spring.

Aslan Fraser

Defensive back has been at WSU for 2 seasons but never appeared in a game.

Rashad McKenzie

The 6-6 redshirt junior dealt with quite a few injuries during his time in Pullman. Did not see the field very much. Felt like he would be a part of the DT rotation this season.

Conner Calvert

Walked on to WSU last season and did not appear in a game. Likely got beat out for the kicking job this spring.

Camden DeGraw-Tryall

The defensive end redshirted at WSU last season and did not appear in a game.

Dajon Doss

The linebacker redshirted at WSU last season but only appeared in one game.

Aiden Knape

Enrolled at WSU in the spring. Was the sixth best prospect in Colorado.

Nathan Pritchard

The former three star OT spent 2 seasons at WSU but only appeared in the Holiday Bowl.

Zack Miller

The former three star OT spent 3 seasons at WSU and appeared in just three games (all in the 2023 season).

Dycurian Douglass

The WR spent one season in Pullman as a redshirt but he never played in a game.

Sean Embree Jr.

The three star WR had enrolled at WSU this spring.

Hunter Haines

The highly touted safety recruit out of Oregon chose the Cougs over Oregon just last season. Redshirted last year and probably wouldn't have seen the field very much this season with how deep the secondary is this season.

Tristan Bohannon

The linebacker arrived at WSU in 2023 but never saw the field for WSU.

Comments

  1. Connor Calvert did not necessarily get beat out for the job. He is getting paid rev share and headed to the ACC
